Entry Permit before Tibet Tour
All foreign travelrs should have Tibet Entry Permit before your Tibet tour. Usually we need 3 weeks to apply the permit.


Who has to have a Tibet Entry Permit
1. The Taiwan tourists, who do not have the valid identity card of China
2. Non-Chinese passport holders
3. Overseas Chinese (who do not have Chinese passport)

Around 18 US$.


Documents needed to apply for the Tibet Entry Permit
- Copy of your passport by fax or scan the passport and send it to us by email.
- Copy of VISA by fax or scan the VISA and send it to us by email.
- First name / Middle name / Last name / Passport number / Nationality / Date of birth / Gender
- Occupation of travelers
- Entry date
- Departure date

Travelers should carry thick garments for Tibet tour during Winter time.

Acute Mountain Sickness
Acute Mountain Sickness refers to sickness because of decreasing availability of oxygen at an altitude over 3,000 meters. Symptoms of AMS include headache, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of appetite and disturbed sleep. Most places in Tibet Autonomous Region are higher than this altitude. So many travelers got Acute Mountain Sickness in Tibet.
It is a health risk to visit Tibet.
Visitors having record of heart, lung, other organ problems or anemia should consult doctor before Tibet tour.
The altitude disease generally can be recovered naturally.

Avoid Acute Mountain Sickness
Before visiting Tibet, get as healthy as possible.
Drink plenty of fluids and eat carbohydrate food;
Do not get over tired during Tibet tour;
Do not smoke;
Do not drink alcohol or take other depressants
Do not go higher with symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness;
Mild AMS symptoms can be treated with proper medication.
